zubin Menon
Associate Copywriter
Zubin writes copy in between writing papers and rehearsing presentations for the MBA he is currently pursuing at the University of Hawaii’s Shidler College of Business. What he learns in one world feeds what he does in the other.
An Asian History graduate of the University of British Columbia,
Zubin began school in Hong Kong, continued in Malaysia and finished
in Singapore. At Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu, he has taught economics, mathematics, computer science, Asian Studies and drama
(he was once Algernon in The Importance of Being Ernest after all!).
He has also worked as a legislative aide to Senator Gary Hooser.
Zubin is as mad about cars as he is about cricket and tennis.
Regular sports injuries have not dimmed his passion to bat, bowl, serve and volley. All of which is excellent training for someone whose role in
the agency is to play with words and enjoy the back and forth that comes with articulating how the services of clients are announced or promoted in ways that are both credible and creative. Learning how to keep his red
18 year old Nissan 300ZX running --most of the time-- has also improved his performance as a copywriter. “I like to think I understand what it means to keep something finely tuned and purring. I know my job is to
do with words what I try to do under the hood."
